KTN2 ENSO NO KOKORO KATANA 円相の心 ENSO NO KOKORO KATANA The KTN2 Enso No Kokoro Katana is inspired by the Japanese Zen concept of Enso — the circle that represents simplicity, completeness, freedom of mind, and the beauty found within imperfection. “Enso No Kokoro” (円相の心) may be interpreted as “The Spirit of Enso” or “The Heart of Enso.” The philosophy behind the KTN2 is one of balance and clarity. Rather than relying on excessive ornamentation, its design brings together restrained Japanese aesthetics, natural materials, and carefully selected traditional fittings to create a katana with a calm yet distinctive presence. The circular openwork tsuba provides the visual inspiration for the Enso concept and becomes one of the defining characteristics of the KTN2. The tsuka is wrapped in genuine brick-red cowhide over natural genuine samegawa, creating a warm contrast against the matte black saya. Traditional fittings and carefully balanced proportions complete the koshirae. At its core, the KTN2 retains the proven blade geometry, dimensions, curvature, and balance of the KTN1 Shoshin Hana Katana, while presenting an entirely different koshirae and visual identity.
